KONTOKALI

To have chosen this resort, you would have made an excellent choice, with plenty of varying types of accommodation for every type of group. Kontokali has something for everyone of all ages, including Great Bars, and many Tavernas and Restaurants. You will be well catered for. I have given some other links from other sources and website, with more information on the resort of Kontokali. Here you will find more details on what is available in this wonderful resorts.

The beach at Kontokali is a sandy beach, with a some small rocks and shingle on entering the water. The beach is set out with Palm canopies and two sunbeds costing around 7 euros for the day. You can obtain food and drink from the Kontokali Bay Hotel bars on the beach, or better still from the small cafe which is situated at the end of the beach area in a sheltered cove. This is actually run by a lovely lady from Nottingham who now lives on the island of Corfu. The water in this area is excellent, very clear and clean.

There are many other places that can be visited via excursions, coach trips and boat trips, which can be booked through the local Travel Shop which you will find in the resort. Travel Shop is located opposite the AB Supermarket at the south end of Kontokali. You will save a lot of money from booking through these shops.

Places, such as Aqualand Waterpark, Achilleon Palace, Corfu Town. The latter being better if visited in the evening where you can shop till you drop, and have a lovely evening meal at one of the many restaurants or tavernas.

Captain Spiros, and his boat the Magdelana, or his new boat, for boat trips to Corfu Town, and many other trips including the infamous Beach BBQs, something not to be missed. You will find Captain Spiros at the pier in the Gouvia Bay Marina, just along from Kontokali. Probably a 10 minute walk. Or check out the Grocery Store on the main Paleokastritsa North Road, Captain Spiros sometimes hangs around there. I think he owns that as well.

The night life in Kontokali is good. It has some great bars, in particular the G&Ms Bar, enter there at your own peril. Seriously, a great night hosted by a great host, Miltos. Dance and Drink till you drop. There is also the new place, called Mikos.

Kontokali has many shops in the village on the main road going south from the resort. These range from the souvenier shops, grocery stores, pharmacy, and a super market at each resort.

In brief, Kontokali can and does offer everything for a perfect holiday.

GOUVIA

To have chosen this resort, you would have made an excellent choice in choosing Gouvia, with plenty of varying types of accommodation for every type of group. Gouvia has something for everyone of all ages, including Night Clubs, Bars, and many Tavernas and Restaurants. You will be well catered for. I have given some other links from other sources and website, with more information on the resort of Gouvia. Here you will find more details on what is available in both resorts.

Gouvia has a beach which is entirely made of shingle, but is not to hard on the feet, in particular if wearing some sort of beach shoe. There is also the Lagoon Gardens which is a large pool complex attached to one of the main hotels, but can be used by guests from other accommodations. The complex is very nice, and great for kids, and everyone else.

There are many other places that can be visited via excursions, trips and boat trips, which can be booked through the local Travel Shop which you will find in the resort, located at the north end of Gouvia, at the 3 way junction. You will save a lot of money from booking through these shops.

Places, such as Aqualand Waterpark, Achilleon Palace, Corfu Town. The latter being better if visited in the evening where you can shop till you drop, and have a lovely evening meal at one of the many restaurants or tavernas.

Visit Gouvia Bay Beach, and look for Captain Spiros, and his boat the Magdelana, or his new boat, for boat trips to Corfu Town, and many other trips including the infamous Beach BBQs, something not to be missed.

The night life in Gouvia is lively, and full of fun for all the family, having many bars, tavernas, and at least three night clubs, all of which are very good, and where families are welcome to.

Gouvia has an array of shops, ranging from the souvenier shops, grocery stores, pharmacy, and a super market, where you can buy most anything.

In brief, Gouvia can and does offer everything for a perfect holiday.
